Ocean

One can understand the ocean, knowing that
Some live wave by wave, waiting for the ocean to swallow them up.
Some grow old in the ocean, so that the ocean will live in them.
Some build ships, and never know the life beneath until they sink
Some sink to the bottom, and sink beneath the sand
Some let the currents take them where they can.
But what I know, is that the ocean washes all certainties down.
